Founder's Release - Heirloom Cedar Bench

The Heirloom Cedar Bench marks the first release in the Heirloom Collection from Tedder & Timber—pieces designed to last, gather stories, and only get better with time.

Crafted from a single solid cedar slab sourced from a Kansas-grown tree, this bench carries its own character. The wood features the rich color and warm, natural aromatics of Eastern Red Cedar, accented by unexpected curly grain that makes this piece truly unique. This isn’t mass-produced material—it’s a one-of-one slab shaped by nature and carefully brought to life.

The natural cracks and knots were filled with contrasting black to highlight the deep tones of red that Eastern Cedar is famous for. The bench is finished with a premium hardwax oil, allowing it to retain the tactile feel of real wood grain while offering the durability needed for everyday use. Unlike thick film finishes that sit on top, this finish soaks in—protecting the piece while allowing it to age gracefully. The base features a powder-coated steel A-frame from Rusty Designs, pairing strength with clean, modern lines. 

Whether placed in an entryway, mudroom, bedroom, or living space, this bench offers more than just a place for two to sit—it’s a statement piece built with intention, quality materials, and a respect for the story behind the wood.
